Hi, I’m Dori. I created this space because I believe healing starts in the body—not the brain.
Somatics and Soul is a sanctuary for those who are ready to soften, to breathe, and to reconnect with the wisdom they’ve been carrying all along.
My approach blends somatic movement, transformational breathwork, reiki, and nervous system science to help you feel safe, seen, and whole. This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about coming home to who you’ve always been.
This isn’t surface-level breathwork.
This is a trauma-informed, soul-led experience that meets you exactly where you are.
Through intentional breathing, sound, and somatic guidance, we invite stored emotions to rise—so they can finally be felt, honored, and released.
This work doesn’t force anything.
It simply creates the safety for emotions to move.
I Didn’t Always Feel Safe in My Body.
For years, I lived in my head — overthinking, overdoing, and overriding the whispers of my body.
Like so many of us, I learned to perform instead of feel. To stay busy instead of slow down. To be “fine” when I wasn’t. I didn’t know that my nervous system was calling for help — or that my body was holding stories I hadn’t yet made space to listen to.
Then I found breathwork. Not the performance kind. Not the kind you have to “get right.”
But the kind that slowly coaxes you back to your own aliveness.
It cracked me open. It softened the parts of me I had armored. It gave me permission to feel what what I had shoved down for years. And throughout this, I continually get to meet a new version of myself.
I’m still human. I still catch myself holding my breath.
But I know how to come back home — gently, again and again.
This work changed my life. And now I hold space for others to return to themselves too — one breath, one sound, one movement at a time.

Breathwork is a practice that uses intentional breathing techniques to support emotional release, nervous system regulation, and deeper embodiment. At Somatics & Soul, breathwork is paired with somatic tools, sound, and trauma-informed care to create deep transformation.
While breathwork is incredibly healing, certain conditions require extra care. Please check the full list of contraindications before signing up. If you're ever unsure, reach out. We’re happy to help you decide if this is the right time for breathwork—or if a gentler session like Rest Before You Rise is more aligned.
Sessions typically include grounding, intention setting, education, a guided breath journey, time for integration, and space for sharing (if desired). Depending on the format, we may include movement, sound healing, or journaling.
While some elements may feel similar, the breathwork I offer is trauma-informed and tailored to the individual or group. It’s not about intensity for the sake of intensity—it’s about creating a safe, effective path toward self-regulation and soul connection.
Both are valid. Some sessions feel quiet and subtle; others bring deep emotion or sensation. There's no “right” way to experience this. We create space for integration either way.

Absolutely. Beginners are welcome. Every session includes clear guidance and options for adjusting your experience based on your body’s needs.
A quiet space, headphones (if possible), a comfortable place to lie down, a blanket, and an eye mask or scarf. You might also want a journal, water, and tissues nearby.
Most people report feeling lighter, calmer, and more connected to themselves. Some may experience emotional release or fatigue afterward. Integration is key, and I provide space and support for that.
Yes! You can book individual sessions, join a group container, or explore extended 1:1 containers.
It means that your experience is never forced, rushed, or pushed. We move at the pace of your body, not the pace of performance. This container respects your boundaries, choices, and lived history.
Absolutely. Many clients use breathwork to complement their therapy, EMDR, somatic experiencing, or medical treatments. Always check in with your healthcare provider, but know that this space is designed to support—not replace—your broader healing journey.
